Privacy Policy
What TinyDesk.run collects, how your photo and video are used and how long they are kept.
Last updated: 2026-11-01
1. Introduction
TinyDesk.run is an independent service that turns the photos you upload into a short AI-generated parody video. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who processes it, and how long we keep it.
By using the service you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, avatar and a sign-in identifier from Google. We do not receive your Google password. If you sign up with an email address instead, we store that address and a securely hashed password, and we send you a verification email.
- Your Photo and Your Video — The photos you upload to make a video (which may show people's faces), and the video we generate from it.
- Billing and Transaction Data — When you buy credits, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We receive the order, amount and status. We do not store full card numbers.
- Device and Usage Data — IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamps and how you use the site, collected to run the service, prevent abuse and keep it secure.
- Cookies and Local Storage — Cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, remember your language and keep your selected photos while you sign in or pay. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Making your video — To check your photos, generate the video and let you download it.
- Account and credits — To track credit balances, orders and refunds.
- Safety and abuse prevention — To check uploaded photos with an automated safety filter, reject content that is not allowed, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service, and to meet legal obligations such as reporting child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
- Support and communications — To answer your requests and send essential account messages.
- Improving the service — To understand overall usage and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal data or your photos and videos, and we do not use them to train AI models.
4. Who Processes Your Data
We use service providers to run TinyDesk.run. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Hosting and storage — Cloudflare hosts the website and stores your photos and videos.
- AI video generation — Your photos are sent to our AI video providers to generate the video. This can include a private image library the provider uses for generation.
- Safety check — Your photos are sent to an image-moderation provider that checks them before generation.
- Payments — Stripe processes payments.
- Sign-in and email — Google provides sign-in, and Cloudflare sends account emails such as verification and password-reset messages.
Some of these providers may process data in countries other than your own.
5. How Long We Keep Data
- Photos — Deleted within 7 days of upload. If any photo is rejected by the safety check, we delete the photos you uploaded for that video as soon as possible, and in any case within 7 days.
- Videos — Kept for 7 days so you can download them from My videos, then deleted. Download the videos you want to keep.
- Account and order records — Kept while your account is active and as needed for accounting, security and legal obligations.
6. Data Security
We use HTTPS/TLS in transit, keep photos and videos in private storage, and restrict access to your videos to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
- Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.
To exercise these rights, email support@tinydesk.run or use the Contact support button on the website.
8. Children
TinyDesk.run is for people aged 18 or older. Do not upload photos of children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will change the "Last Updated" date at the top when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated policy.
